During your journey to improve yourself you’ll find that at times you will get into situations that make you feel uncomfortable and anxious. Although you may not like this feeling it is a sign that you are on the right path.
This anxiety comes from stepping out of your comfort zone, your normal day to day routine in which you have pleasures and time wasting activities that make you feel “comfortable”. While leisure activities are important to take a break and spend time with people important to you, it will stop you from growing and you’ll use those “comfortable” things to creatively avoid pursuing the important things in your life.
Think of it from the perspective of building muscle. The first time you go to the gym and have a hard work out, lifting heavier and heavier weights that you have never done before, you’re body will react the next day in pain, you tore the muscle fibers and your body is adapting to this by supplying it with proteins to not only repair those muscle fibers, but to also make them stronger and larger so that you can handle that load better if you were to encounter it another time. You adapt.
So how do we deal with this anxiety and adapt mentally?

Through peoples body language, posture and appearance you can tell a lot about them, especially how much self confidence they have.
This is definitely true when it comes to being in the presence of a man with high self confidence, there are a lot of things going on that create this commanding aura that they seem to have but they are qualities that you can imitate until they become a habit and eventually a reality that will become a part of you.
Make an effort to consciously follow these habits:
-
Posture - At all times you should be walking tall, imagine that your head is being pulled up, you’ll feel your spine straighten, and make sure that your shoulders are relaxed. Make an effort to consciously do this whenever you find yourself slouching or looking at the ground when you are walking. This is one of the major traits of someone who is upbeat, confident and has high self esteem. Ever see people that are walking slowly, with their eyes at their feet, they look as if they have nothing to live for and could care less about the things going on around them.
-
Eye Contact - When you are conversing with another person, look them in the eyes. This shows that they have your full attention, you are listening and that you feel comfortable in your own skin. Sometimes this may seem awkward, as if you are staring at the person, but you will eventually get a feel for the right amount of eye contact. Sometimes you can even tell if a woman is interested in you by the way you two keep eye contact, it will almost feel like this really deep connection between the two of you from just a normal conversation. You can create this energy with anyone you converse with and they will feel your strong presence.
-
Stance/Body Language - It is said 80% of our communication is through body language. Always try and keep an open posture, when you are sitting down keep your legs at shoulder width, don’t cross them, keep your hands out of your pockets, don’t fidget with your keys or fingers when talking to someone, these little things may not seem like a lot but you can tell when someone feels uncomfortable by their body language. Try and consciously spot whenever you do these things and make an effort to reduce them and eventually eliminate them when you communicate with someone.
-
Hygiene and Fashion - These tell a lot about the person you are, if you take care in your appearance it will show that you are a successful person who has a healthy lifestyle and responsibility in their personal upkeep. Simple things like maintaining a good haircut, shave, taking a shower, brushing your teeth, wearing deodorant. Bring a girlfriend with you to go shopping (they usually know more about men’s fashion than guys do) and get her to help you pick out clothes. Dress for success. You’ll find that others will not only notice you as a successful person, but you will feel a sense of pride in your appearance when you look in the mirror and that feeling will be a reinforcement to your self confidence and the way you carry yourself throughout the day.
Try to do these things as much as possible until you find you’re doing it automatically, and see what peoples reactions are. I bet that you will get looks from women, those long looks that say “who’s that guy?” you’ll see what I mean.
By making these physical changes to be congruent with high self confidence, you are only making it easier to develop your mental strength to achieve it deep within yourself.

Everyone on this earth searches for meaning. It gives us a sense of purpose and passion for life.
There are two type of people in this world, those who cause things to happen, and those who only react to things that happen to them, the effect of others actions. You aren’t living congruent to your own values, beliefs and inner desires, only following others.

I believe this is the root, and foundation of a man. The ability to choose what you want in life, what is truly important to you and making a plan on how to get it now.
So how do you get on your path, what if you don’t know where the end of the path will lead?

What consitutes being a real man? what are his characteristics and traits. When people think of a true man names come to mind such as James Bond and George Clooney.
